NVIDIA 's xx60 -kort har alltid blitt definert av entry-level priser med ytelse som banker på døren til mid-range grafikkort - spesielt når de er overklokket. Etter å ha tatt oss tid til å teste Turing grafikkortet inne i GTX 1660 Ti, kan vi uten tvil si at det fortsetter trenden. I våre syntetiske benchmarks blåser GTX 1660 Ti forbi GTX 1060 6GB og, utrolig nok, til og med GTX 1070.

Dessverre var ikke spillytelsen like imponerende. Selv om GTX 1660 Ti konsekvent leverer bildefrekvensøkning over GTX 1060 6GB, er gevinsten ikke mye som rettferdiggjør en oppgradering. For 1080p Full HD kunne vi spille Borderlands 3, Anthem, Need For Speed: Heat, Just Cause 4, Gears of War 5 på 62 fps til 78 fps og holdt bildefrekvensene svevet rundt 71 fps.

For 1440p Quad HD kunne vi spille GreedFall, Hitman 2, F1 2019, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, World War Z på 64 fps til 72 fps og holdt bildefrekvensene svevet rundt 68 fps.

If your CPU is i7-7700K then go for 2060 / 2070, when it's 2600K and you want to upgrade your current graphics card, then 1660 or 1660TI is good.

The RTX 2060 is more expensive than the GTX 1660 Ti, but it's well worth spending more than you initially wanted to. Why I recommend this is the RTX 2060 offers more performance for the money and would hold up longer over time before needing to be replaced. With the GTX 1660 Ti, you're likely to replace it sometime in the future if you wish to move up to 1440p and 4K gaming.

While the GTX 1660 Ti is capable of 1440p gaming, it's not as powerful as the GTX 1070 (though it does match it in some games), which itself can sometimes struggle with more demanding games at this resolution. The RTX 2060 makes mine meat of games and it costs less than 0 for all this additional headroom. You also have ray tracing and Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) enabled on the card.

Other advantages the RTX 2060 has over the GTX 1660 Ti include increased memory bandwidth. It's simply better in every way aside from the base and boost clock speeds, but you can overcome with this overclocking as RTX 2060 cards come with superior coolers.

I recommend the RTX 2060 over the GTX 1660 Ti, but it's not the best option for everyone. If your budget simply cannot stretch to cover the GPU and you need the card now, the GTX 1660 Ti is a solid card for 1080p and some 1440p gaming.
