27" HP Omen 27 gaming monitor performance benchmarks: response, input and full specs review

The HP Omen 27 has the Display Port and this is essential for NVIDIA cards to work with AMD FreeSync. The minimum response rate of HP Omen 27 is 1 ms, which is eliminates ghosting effects. For the average response rate, the HP Omen 27 scores 4 ms, which ensures effective synchronization with the high refresh rate. HP Omen 27 has a total input lag of 11.5 ms, which is excellent among the competition. The HP Omen 27 is a relatively new monitor. To compensate for graphically demanding games, the HP Omen 27 has a very good low end adaptive refresh rate of 24 Hz that can adapt to more lower frame rate drops. For the extremely fast frame rates, the HP Omen 27 has a maximum refresh rate of 165 Hz that allows smoother gameplay. The monitor has a VESA mount. In terms of pixel density, the HP Omen 27 has an excellent density of 109 pixels-per-inch, resulting in sharper text and picture quality. For graphics color quality, the HP Omen 27 has an average color depth of 6 -bit, resulting in dithered gradients and more slightly less accurate colors. The monitor has an unimpressive contrast ratio of 1000 : 1. The monitor uses a TN panel which suffers from color shifting when viewed from horizontal and vertical angles and has slightly washed colors compared to IPS and VA panels. The brightness of HP Omen 27 is lower than other monitors. Without the AMD FreeSync support, this monitor is not compatible with AMD graphics cards.

Ghosting (or overdrive?) on HP Omen 27 @ 165hz and 144hz on fastest response time settings
Hi guys I am having trouble with what I perceive to be ghosting or overdrive(looks more like overdrive) on my HP Omen 27 @ 165hz and 144hz on any response time setting above the default so level 4, 5 and 6 (trying to use the advertised 1-2ms response time). I have tried different display port cables and different graphics cards and still no luck. I have also tried removing all cable interference which was suggested on another post I saw.

I am unable to show a screenshot of this as when I take a picture it looks perfectly fine..

Does anyone have any ideas of how I can potentially fix this it's driving me crazy..

Thanks!

You may already have 1ms but you aren't actually measuring it. No monitor specs can be believed anyways because they are best possible, not real world use. Others like contrast are not even close many times and they aren't even capable of it in best case scenarios. None of it is regulated and most of it is fake. But 1ms is still a marketing gimmick and irrelevant. Response times is for ghosting. If you have no ghosting, the number makes no difference. You set overdrive to where it gets no ghosting or inverse ghosting. If you can do that then there is nothing wrong with the monitor and you got what you wanted. You got good response times to have no ghosting. Don't fall for the marketing tricks.
