RTX 2060 with i3-9100F benchmarks at Ultra Quality settings

It is clear that the RTX 2060 is a significantly more capable high-end card that can play AAA titles at 1080p/1440p with 50-60 frames per second. In terms of memory, the RTX 2060 's 6144 MB RAM is more than enough for modern games and should not cause any bottlenecks. In short the performance is exceptional, there's no question that this is one of the most powerful single GPU out there in 2019 .

The RTX 2070 might be the mid-range flagship of the latest Turing set of graphics cards, but their prices keep them out of the reach of most entry-level PC gamers. On the other hand, the RTX 2060 is closer to being reasonably affordable at a price tag of . The good news is, with the release of the RTX 2060 SUPER , the RTX 2060 's price is getting more discount.

NVIDIA ’s xx60 cards have always been defined by entry-level prices with performance that knocks on the door of mid-range graphics cards – especially when overclocked. After taking the time to fully test the Turing graphics card inside the RTX 2060 , we can say without a doubt that it continues the trend. The RTX 2060 is much more expensive than the GTX 1060 6GB as it costs a whopping . Compare this to the GTX 1060 6GB , which came originally at a price of . Meanwhile, the AMD closest equivalent card is the RX 5700 which costs .

Spec for spec, this RTX 2060 leapfrogs its direct predecessor, the GTX 1060 6GB , by boasting 2 % more fps. In our synthetic benchmarks, the RTX 2060 blows past the GTX 1060 6GB and, amazingly, even the GTX 1070 as well.

Fortunately, gaming performance was quite impressive. The RTX 2060 consistently delivers great frame rate increases over the GTX 1060 6GB and it really justifies an upgrade. For 1080p Full HD , we were able to play Anthem, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Just Cause 4, Final Fantasy XV, Monster Hunter: World at 70 fps to 95 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 86 fps.

For 1440p Quad HD , we were able to play Final Fantasy XV, Just Cause 4, Monster Hunter: World, Hitman 2, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 at 61 fps to 72 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 65 fps.

@kider so i dont think u should have any issues with this procesor since is i7 with more cores and threats so it would go great but i would recommend for you to go check some videos on yt or benchmarks to see if its good and doesnt have bottleneck so you get full performance, also go more deeper in this things to be safe and sound...u might need to replace cpu due to more wanted and houngry games that take 100%gpu at all cores, then u might get bottleneck for sure but in low end games like lol, dota, gta itc...i dont se any problem not runing for next 10y

If i have intel i5 4460 does the rtx 2060 can works good with the highest quality games?
1 0
M
Marselix 1 month ago
@Elad Maybe,U might get bottleneck due to much stronger gpu than cpu which means that your graphic card (2060) would need to wait for cpu to render/send to gpu, then gpu will need to wait,so lets say u get like 50-60fps same as having gtx 1050 performance....so im going to recommend to chech or ask on support site or seeing on youtube....in another way i would recommend better cpu at least 7th generation of intel processors if u want to pair with with this gpu

I have an i7 4790 and an rtx 2060 and can say with confidence that the bottleneck is huge, cpu maxes out way too fast and games like AC:origins run like crap.

Kane, check this example video:

Living breathing evidence that an FX 8320/8350 just cannot handle a 290/780 or better, even in a GPU bound game. know why the 8350 trailed 5-15fps? It wasn't tuning to its full usage like the i7 was running it That 8320 choking a 780 to 72% usage.

So I wanted to update my cpu and gpu. Got a good deal today for the RTX 2060 but now the question is. Do I really need to change now the I3-7100? or it can wait for next year? Any opinions?

This is bullshit! It also says that FX-8320 will bottleneck the R9 270. I have this CPU with R9 270X and they work fine together, no CPU limit at all. This CPU can even work well with a GTX 1660 Ti or an RTX 2060 too!

For apex legends, this also occurs on old intel CPU's Core 2 Duos and Quads. I got a Core 2 Quad Q9400 overclocked at 3.0 Ghz and still runs some games decently, it ain't great but still holds up a bit and it has SSE4.1 instructions not 4.2 and Apex refuses to start. Some games had this problem but it got fixed and ran decent on my system, see no reason why this wouldn't be the case with Apex.
