GTX 1660 Ti with i7-8700K 1080p, 1440p, Ultrawide, 4K benchmarks at Low Quality

It is clear that the GTX 1660 Ti is a significantly more capable high-end card that can play AAA titles at 1080p/1440p with 50-60 frames per second. The price/performance ratio is excellent for GTX 1660 Ti against the competition in budget mid-range cards. In terms of memory, the GTX 1660 Ti 's 6144 MB RAM is more than enough for modern games and should not cause any bottlenecks. With regards to max load temperature, the GTX 1660 Ti 's cooling is excellent at keeping it cool and under control. In short the performance is exceptional, there's no question that this is one of the most powerful single GPU out there in 2019 .

NVIDIA ’s xx60 cards have always been defined by entry-level prices with performance that knocks on the door of mid-range graphics cards – especially when overclocked. After taking the time to fully test the Turing graphics card inside the GTX 1660 Ti, we can say without a doubt that it continues the trend. In our synthetic benchmarks, the GTX 1660 Ti blows past the GTX 1060 6GB and, amazingly, even the GTX 1070 as well.

Unfortunately, gaming performance was not quite as impressive. Even if the GTX 1660 Ti consistently delivers frame rate increases over the GTX 1060 6GB, the gain is not much to justify an upgrade. For 1080p Full HD, we were able to play Borderlands 3, Anthem, Need For Speed: Heat, Just Cause 4, Gears of War 5 at 62 fps to 78 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 71 fps.

For 1440p Quad HD, we were able to play GreedFall, Hitman 2, F1 2019, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, World War Z at 64 fps to 72 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 68 fps.

I run Apex at 142fps (capped for imput lag purposes) with 2700 non X processor and the Gigabyte 1660 TI dual fan card. It obv will hit 144fps on High Txt Detail / Txt quality / Lights / Sbao On / Low undergrowth /Terrain High

After 4 hours avg 56C temps , 137 Fps with those detail settings at 1080p.
Secret ? I overclock my stuff ...wtf wouldn't you? More importantly I overclock my ram Im runnin 3400 14/17/14/18/28/42 or if yer ***** 14/17/18/28 . I have Processor Oc'd to 4.27 Ghz at 1.387 volts .
cheapo 240mm AIO cooler.

Ppl are dense these benchmarks are ***** unless you are building a console and by that I mean you bought a tiny child's case that U can't cool properly. Only reason my cheap 1660 TI hits 56c avg after 5 hours of play ? Is because I have 165mhz OC on the core 800mhz OC on the ram lol. And flashed bios to Tech Powerup's alt Power limiter increase mod.

These are things any gamer should and would learn how to do . I'll eventually get a 2070 ..Oc its brains off n prolly snag a R5 3600 So i can get faster Mem Freq kit as Ryzen 3k has better Mem controller and get 100+ Fps on a 1440p monitor sometime down the road.

Right now im sticking with 1660 TI / 2700 non x combonation due to my monitor being 144hz 1080p. Once able to afford 144hz 1440p i'll upgrade card then cpu / higher freq ram which i'll then Overclock n tighten every timing (all of them not just the 4 on label but all 3 layers of timings)

But yea all of that you can learn how to do its not an issue. The real mistake I see most pc builders make is not thinking like a Pc gamer . Don't build a console ... Don't listen to youtube the case isn't something you cheap out on ...its the item u keep for a 7 or 8 years ... u also don't cheap out on the mobo (Overclocking vrm capability and Ram compatability) ...and for ***** sakes don't cheap out on the powersupply like those idiots suggest on youtube.

U want clean consistant power. Get a big ***** psu with a high rating thats fully modular . Get as big a fking case as you can afford that has multiple positions for Watercooling rads , and primarily fans.

Don't be a woman ...yer case doesn't need to be cute it needs to be large to and hold atleast 7-8 fans if not more preferably. I have 4 140mm fans in mine Push pull config on my Processors aio with 4 120mm's dealing with that.

Ive got an additional 3 120 mm's positioned to help the 3d card and a final 120m to ***** directly at My ram dims.

Fans ...fans ...fans ..radiators ....radiators ...... Whats this require? Space ...get a real case.

League of Legends benchmark is horribly incorrect. It was most likely tested in the tutorial which doesn't even have whole map, against bots and not real players where game is actually played. FPS in team fights gets as low as 120-150 on maxed out settings. This benchmark is quite missleading

Yo tengo esa conbinacion de gpu y cpu pero en el jiego de fortnite tengo una gran perdida de fps. Digamos voy a 180 de repente se bajan a 90 y luego sube a 120 y asi y en zonas con mas carga de texturas me llega a bajar a 40 fps ayuda

If your CPU is i7-7700K then go for 2060 / 2070, when it's 2600K and you want to upgrade your current graphics card, then 1660 or 1660TI is good.
