The same performance, but GT 1030 is trustful. Don't need to care about anything like BIOS, Driver, etc... And, some lower budget than RX 550.

RX 550 vs GT 1030 How do the RX 550 and the GT 1030 compare?
If the RX 550 is better, are there any low profile single slot cards out there?

The RX 550 is a little bit faster than the GT 1030. Low profile single slot cards also exist.
The problem here is that the RX 550 is currently more expensive than it is really worth. It is only 14% faster but is - more expensive.

gt 1030 or gtx 750ti for hp office pc I have a hp Compaq pro 6300 sff with a i5 3470 8gb of ddr3 1tb hard drive the psu is only 240 watts can it handle a 750 ti? and if so can I upgrade overtime with other parts?

Those (2)+12v rails combined are good for 240W (probably more, in reality). That is easily enough for the GTX 750 Ti and even the GTX 1050 Ti if you get one that is not factory OC'ed and has no 6-pin requirement.
I have a GTX 1050 Ti running in my Optiplex 790 SFF on a PSU that only has a single 17 amp +12v rail.

Fanless vs fan GPUs (GT 1030/RX 550) I noticed that some manufacturers have made fanless versions of these budget GPUs. However, are there any difference in gaming performance between fanless and fan? If not, then I'll consider buying the fanless one for my silent gaming PC build
00
C
cookeroxidize2 months ago
Usually the fanless components are slower, due to lower clock speeds in order to keep temperatures down. You know how if you overclock something it runs hotter? The reverse is also true. You don't get something for nothing. If you want silence you usually have to give up some performance.
The real question here is even if they are slower, does it matter? Maybe they are still fast enough to suit your purposes. For instance, maybe for you 50fps silent is better than 60fps with fan noise. On the other hand, if these low budget cards barely manage 35fps in the games you want to play, giving up even a small amount of performance is out of the question.

GTX 750 Ti vs GT 1030 which is better ? i'v been looking for a mid range gaming PC: used GTX 750 Ti (OC Edition) i3-3240 @ 3.4GHz 8GB RAM 240GB HDD
or
new GT 1030 i3-3220 @ 3.3GHz 8GB RAM 240GB HDD
they both cost 9, so which should i get ?

The i3s are basically the same. In games that those cards can handle, I'd rather have the 750 Ti. It's an actual gaming card, whereas the 1030 is really an integrated graphics replacement.
Just don't be unrealistic in your expectations. Neither of these computers is entry level for gaming, much less mid range. A quad core with GTX 1050 would be entry level, these computers are a notch below that. Even so, there are still a lot of games you will be able to run and enjoy.

Which is better? Used gtx 750 ti vs new gt 1030? Hi, guys.
I can get both at the same price so which one will be better for my dell optiplex 760.
Used Asus gtx 750 ti 2gb oc Brand New Gigabyte GT 1030 2gb low profile
I'm leaning towards 1030 but I'm a noob so here I am. My specs are as follows
q9300 processor 4gb ram 255w standard dell power supply
The games I would be playing would be Witcher 2, Mass Effect Trilogy, Assassin's Creed Black Flag. Thanks in advance, guys.

your current PSU might blow up with almost any dedicated GPU. if you arent going to get a new PSU go with the GT1030, it only used 30w compared to the 750ti's 60w.

according to GeForce : GT 1030 or GTX750TI requires 300w PSU so both can run, both use PCIE 3.0 which can be compatible backwards (in theory) my first question is is your bios UEFI or old style non graphical bios? if the later chances are the GT 1030 will run and the 750ti wont. but it is a bit of a guessing game to be honest has many will say yes it runs and other have failed to get the 750ti to run on it.
the gT 1030 isn't a gaming card per say and will not perform in gaming environment as well as the 750 ti.
comparaison of the GT 1030 specs and 750ti
750ti has more cuda core power 640 vs 384 750ti has faster memory bus 128bit vs 64bit 750tiu has more bandwidth 86.4/GBs vs 48 Gb/s 750ti supports GLP 4.4 vs Not on 1030
so 750ti is a better card for gaming, if that is a better card.
He doesn't know how to overclock and he wants a GPU basically for work not so much for games (The GPU that he uses now is GeForce 9600 GT Asus Magic HDMI 512MB Edition and he uses a CORE 2 QUAD Q6600 not overclocked CPU)
Basically I want to give him as a gift a better GPU than the 9600 GT but for Photoshop and editing not so much for games
He is a professional photographer

DDR4 memory scam in Palit GT 1030 Hey guys. I made a terrible mistake. Being in a hurry, i accidentally bought the DDR4 Palit GT 1030 over DDR5. As it was the cheapest option i had, i didn't take the trouble to loop up the details on the box. Actually the palit box doesn't anywhere mention the memory type but a little sticker over it says DDR4 but unfortunately i got to know this after i got back home. Even before making purchase i had some negative vibe about it because it looked a bit smaller than the regular card. Now i regret for the same. After some research i find that in terms of performance it has 5% less clock speeds and 1/3 the memory bandwidth. I don't know how much of a degrade it can make but it's horrifying me. Cause i am upgrading from a DDR5 GT 730. Should i return it? I know it's my fault. The official website clearly says it has two variants but still. Palit brand is itself hiding it from the box moreover they do not even provide low profile brackets which is something that's necessary for a card like this.
