RX 5700 XT with i7-8700K benchmarks at Medium Quality settings

It is worth noting that the RX 5700 XT is a very power hungry card and requires a decent power supply unit. In terms of memory, the RX 5700 XT 's 8192 MB RAM is more than enough for modern games and should not cause any bottlenecks. 4K gaming is joyous on this RX 5700 XT , and with a little tweaking to your AA settings, it'd be hard to imagine a title not capable of 60 fps on average.

Overall Combination Score 90/100 Excellent

AMD ’s xx00 cards have always been defined by mid-range prices with performance that knocks on the door of high-end graphics cards – especially when overclocked. After taking the time to fully test the RDNA 1.0 graphics card inside the RX 5700 XT, we can say without a doubt that it continues the trend. In our synthetic benchmarks, the RX 5700 XT blows past the RX Vega 56 and, amazingly, even the RX Vega 64 as well.

Unfortunately, gaming performance was not quite as impressive. Even if the RX 5700 XT consistently delivers frame rate increases over the RX Vega 56, the gain is not much to justify an upgrade. Whether it is a justifiable upgrade depends on what graphics card you are upgrading from. Users with a RX Vega 56 will not see a remarkable increase in frame rates after paying more for this RX 5700 XT. Similarly, those holding onto RTX 2070 's GTX 1070 graphics cards will not have a reason to jump teams yet.

For 1080p Full HD, we were able to play Metro Exodus, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Borderlands 3, Anthem, Final Fantasy XV at 68 fps to 93 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 78 fps. For 1440p Quad HD, we were able to play Anthem, Final Fantasy XV, Gears of War 5, Just Cause 4, Shadow of the Tomb Raider at 67 fps to 74 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 70 fps.

For 2160p 4K, we were able to play Forza Horizon 4, Battlefield V, Fallout 76, World War Z, F1 2018 at 62 fps to 74 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 67 fps.

@gjg don't go with the 2070. I suggest buying the Sapphire Pulse edition of the 5700XT
