Our Verdict: With some tuning, the RTX 3060 Ti makes the most sense for gamers with 4K monitors and it is better than RTX 3050 Ti by a margin. Though serious gamers hardly play at 4k. For everyone else, especially those on 1080p or even 1440p monitors, the RTX 3050 Ti could be the better value choice in the short term. The RTX 3060 Ti is faster by 53% for 1440p gaming. However, RTX 3050 Ti is still capable of producing more than 60 frames per second. For 1080p games, upgrading from RTX 3050 Ti to RTX 3060 Ti is not worth it if targeting 60 frames per second.

The RTX 3060 might be the mid-range flagship of the latest Ampere set of graphics cards, but their prices keep them out of the reach of most entry-level PC gamers. On the other hand, the RTX 3050 Ti is closer to being reasonably affordable at a price tag of $ 249. NVIDIA ’s xx50 cards have always been defined by entry-level prices with performance that knocks on the door of mid-range graphics cards – especially when overclocked. After taking the time to fully test the Ampere graphics card inside the RTX 3050 Ti, we can say without a doubt that it continues the trend.

Spec for spec, this RTX 3050 Ti leapfrogs its direct predecessor, the GTX 1650, by boasting 2 % more fps. The RTX 3050 Ti has 6 GB RAM compared to the GTX 1650 's 4 GB video memory.

In our synthetic benchmarks, the RTX 3050 Ti blows past the GTX 1650 and, amazingly, even the GTX 1660 as well. Fortunately, gaming performance was quite impressive. The RTX 3050 Ti consistently delivers great frame rate increases over the GTX 1650 and it really justifies an upgrade.

For 1080p Full HD, we were able to play Borderlands 3, Anthem, Need For Speed: Heat, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Gears of War 5 at 64 fps to 81 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 74 fps. For 1440p Quad HD, we were able to play Monster Hunter: World, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, GreedFall, Hitman 2, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 at 61 fps to 72 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 66 fps.

For 2160p 4K, we were able to play Valorant at 145 fps to 145 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 145 fps.

For 1440p Quad HD, we were able to play Red Dead Redemption 2, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Cyberpunk 2077, Marvel's Avengers at 60 fps to 65 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 63 fps.

For 2160p 4K, we were able to play Resident Evil 2, Far Cry 5, Far Cry New Dawn, Death Stranding, F1 2019 at 63 fps to 70 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 66 fps.

In short the performance is exceptional, there's no question that this is one of the most powerful single GPU out there in 2021 .

It is worth noting that the RTX 3060 Ti is a very power hungry card and requires a decent power supply unit. In terms of memory, the RTX 3060 Ti 's 8192 MB RAM is more than enough for modern games and should not cause any bottlenecks. 4K gaming is joyous on this RTX 3060 Ti , and with a little tweaking to your AA settings, it'd be hard to imagine a title not capable of 60 fps on average.
