Our Verdict: The price of GTX 1080 Ti is ridiculous. Upgrading from RTX 2060 SUPER to GTX 1080 Ti is not recommended as it is less than 30% of improvement in performance. In general, a reasonable upgrade is between 30% and 50% or more to justify the purchase of new hardware. The price/performance ratio is much better for RTX 2060 SUPER .

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER

NVIDIA ’s xx60 cards have always been defined by entry-level prices with performance that knocks on the door of mid-range graphics cards – especially when overclocked. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER / i7-8700K

With some tuning, the RTX 2060 SUPER makes the most sense for gamers with 4K monitors. Though serious gamers hardly play at 4k. In terms of memory, the RTX 2060 SUPER 's 8192 MB RAM is more than enough for modern games and should not cause any bottlenecks. In short the performance is exceptional, there's no question that this is one of the most powerful single GPU out there in 2019 .

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti / i7-7700K

It is worth noting that the GTX 1080 Ti is a very power hungry card and requires a decent power supply unit. In terms of memory, the GTX 1080 Ti 's 11264 MB RAM is more than enough for modern games and should not cause any bottlenecks. Deciding whether to invest so much money in a high-end GPU like GTX 1080 Ti requires careful thought. 4K gaming is joyous on this GTX 1080 Ti , and with a little tweaking to your AA settings, it'd be hard to imagine a title not capable of 60 fps on average.
