Our Verdict: With some tuning, the RTX 2080 makes the most sense for gamers with 4K monitors and it is better than GTX 1660 Ti by a margin. Though serious gamers hardly play at 4k. For everyone else, especially those on 1080p or even 1440p monitors, the GTX 1660 Ti could be the better value choice in the short term. The RTX 2080 is faster by 46% for 1440p gaming. However, GTX 1660 Ti is still capable of producing more than 60 frames per second. For 1080p games, upgrading from GTX 1660 Ti to RTX 2080 is not worth it if targeting 60 frames per second. In addition, taking into account the huge price difference between the two, the GTX 1660 Ti is a winner. The price/performance ratio is much better for GTX 1660 Ti .

It is clear that the GTX 1660 Ti is a significantly more capable high-end card that can play AAA titles at 1080p/1440p with 50-60 frames per second. The price/performance ratio is excellent for GTX 1660 Ti against the competition in budget mid-range cards. In terms of memory, the GTX 1660 Ti 's 6144 MB RAM is more than enough for modern games and should not cause any bottlenecks. With regards to max load temperature, the GTX 1660 Ti 's cooling is excellent at keeping it cool and under control. In short the performance is exceptional, there's no question that this is one of the most powerful single GPU out there in 2019 .

It is worth noting that the RTX 2080 is a very power hungry card and requires a decent power supply unit. In terms of memory, the RTX 2080 's 8192 MB RAM is more than enough for modern games and should not cause any bottlenecks. Deciding whether to invest so much money in a high-end GPU like RTX 2080 requires careful thought. 4K gaming is joyous on this RTX 2080 , and with a little tweaking to your AA settings, it'd be hard to imagine a title not capable of 60 fps on average.
