Our Verdict: Upgrading from RTX 3090 to RX 6900 XT is not recommended as it is less than 30% of improvement in performance. In general, a reasonable upgrade is between 30% and 50% or more to justify the purchase of new hardware. The price/performance ratio is much better for RX 6900 XT .

AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT

The RX 6900 XT is much more expensive than the RX 5700 XT as it costs a whopping $ 999. Compare this to the RX 5700 XT, which came originally at a price of $ 399. Meanwhile, the NVIDIA closest equivalent card is the RTX 3090 which costs $ 1499. Spec for spec, this RX 6900 XT leapfrogs its direct predecessor, the RX 5700 XT, by boasting 2 % more fps.

The RX 6900 XT has 16 GB RAM compared to the RX 5700 XT 's 8 GB video memory. Fortunately, gaming performance was quite impressive. The RX 6900 XT consistently delivers great frame rate increases over the RX 5700 XT and it really justifies an upgrade.

For 1080p Full HD, we were able to play Microsoft Flight Simulator, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Cyberpunk 2077, Red Dead Redemption 2, Marvel's Avengers at 70 fps to 138 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 108 fps. For 1440p Quad HD, we were able to play Microsoft Flight Simulator, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Red Dead Redemption 2, Marvel's Avengers, Cyberpunk 2077 at 61 fps to 100 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 90 fps.

For 2160p 4K, we were able to play Cyberpunk 2077, Godfall, Metro Exodus, GreedFall, Monster Hunter: World at 62 fps to 70 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 65 fps.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090

Spec for spec, this RTX 3090 leapfrogs its direct predecessor, the RTX 2080 Ti, by boasting 2 % more fps. The RTX 3090 has 24 GB RAM compared to the RTX 2080 Ti 's 11 GB video memory.

Fortunately, gaming performance was quite impressive. The RTX 3090 consistently delivers great frame rate increases over the RTX 2080 Ti and it really justifies an upgrade. For 1080p Full HD, we were able to play Microsoft Flight Simulator, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Cyberpunk 2077, Red Dead Redemption 2, Assassin's Creed Odyssey at 70 fps to 138 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 108 fps.

For 1440p Quad HD, we were able to play Microsoft Flight Simulator, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Red Dead Redemption 2, Marvel's Avengers, Cyberpunk 2077 at 62 fps to 101 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 91 fps. For 2160p 4K, we were able to play Borderlands 3, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Red Dead Redemption 2, Cyberpunk 2077, Godfall at 61 fps to 66 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 64 fps.

It is worth noting that the RX 6900 XT is a very power hungry card and requires a decent power supply unit. In terms of memory, the RX 6900 XT 's 16384 MB RAM is more than enough for modern games and should not cause any bottlenecks. 4K gaming is joyous on this RX 6900 XT , and with a little tweaking to your AA settings, it'd be hard to imagine a title not capable of 60 fps on average.

würde ich so nicht stehenlassen! es kommt auf ***** verwendete CPU an!!!! wieso nehmt ihr nicht einen ryzen9 5900x zum testen und aktiviert bar/sam und lasst ***** tests nochmal richtig laufen und ändert dann euren text!
