Our Verdict: The price of GTX TITAN X is ridiculous. Upgrading from RX 590 to GTX TITAN X is not recommended as it is less than 30% of improvement in performance. In general, a reasonable upgrade is between 30% and 50% or more to justify the purchase of new hardware. The price/performance ratio is much better for RX 590 .

AMD Radeon RX 590

AMD ’s xx90 cards have always been defined by high-end prices with performance that knocks on the door of extreme graphics cards – especially when overclocked. After taking the time to fully test the GCN 4.0 graphics card inside the RX 590, we can say without a doubt that it continues the trend. For 1080p Full HD, we were able to play Monster Hunter: World, GreedFall, Final Fantasy XV, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, F1 2019 at 64 fps to 75 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 69 fps.

For 1440p Quad HD, we were able to play Apex Legends, Resident Evil 2, Forza Horizon 4, Call of Duty Modern Warfare, Strange Brigade at 60 fps to 67 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 64 fps.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN X

For 1080p Full HD, we were able to play Borderlands 3, Just Cause 4, Anthem, Monster Hunter: World, Need For Speed: Heat at 62 fps to 73 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 68 fps. For 1440p Quad HD, we were able to play GreedFall, F1 2019, Hitman 2, World War Z, Far Cry New Dawn at 64 fps to 79 fps and kept frame rates hovering around 71 fps.

At 1440p, RX 590 can hit 50-60 fps on pretty much everything at ultra, just without antialiasing, less ambient occlusion and turned down shadows. It is clear that the RX 590 is a significantly more capable high-end card that can play AAA titles at 1080p/1440p with 50-60 frames per second. The price/performance ratio is excellent for RX 590 against the competition in budget mid-range cards. It is worth noting that the RX 590 is a very power hungry card and requires a decent power supply unit. In terms of memory, the RX 590 's 8192 MB RAM is more than enough for modern games and should not cause any bottlenecks.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN X / i7-4790K

In terms of cost, pricing clearly is a genuine issue here and the price of GTX TITAN X is simply ridiculous. It is worth noting that the GTX TITAN X is a very power hungry card and requires a decent power supply unit. In terms of memory, the GTX TITAN X 's 12288 MB RAM is more than enough for modern games and should not cause any bottlenecks. In short the performance is exceptional, there's no question that this is one of the most powerful single GPU out there in 2015 .
